This tutorial will describe how a dc-dc converter is used to boost the voltage produced by a PV panel so that it may be connected to the grid. The tutorial will describe the need for a transformer and how the switching of the dc-dc converter has to be modified due to the presence of the transformer. The converted boosted voltage will be further converted back to ac grid voltage but this is not a part of this tutorial.
